The painting entitled 'water lily pond' by Claude Monet is in a series of about 250 paintings to which Claude gave up the last 30 years of his life. The pond in the painting was in his garden and he painted it from different angles and in different seasons. He absolutely loved his pond.

It depicts a delicate blue Japanese bridge under which stretches a beautiful and quite large pond with pink and white water lilies, whose petals show different colours, including blue and violet. Around the pond grows different bushes. Various trees can be seen in the background. The painting is dominated by green colour and the whole work is well lit, so we can say that it was painted in summer or spring.

In my opinion, the painting is very nice, I especially like the details in it. When I look at it, I can feel a great peace emanating from the painting.
